FAQs
Getting Started
What services do you offer?
1
I help therapeutic providers, charities and specialist children's services understand commissioning, strengthen their positioning and build more sustainable organisations.
Support ranges from free resources and workshops through to one-to-one strategic conversations, bespoke consultancy and longer-term partnership support.
Every organisation is different, so rather than offering a one-size-fits-all package, I work with you to identify the support that will make the biggest difference.
The best place to start is with a Kindle Strategic Clarity Conversation to better understand your needs and what support would help you the most.
How do I get started?
2
The easiest place to start is by visiting the Start Here page, where you can explore free resources or identify which support is right for you.
If you're ready to talk through your organisation and your goals, you can book a Kindle Strategic Clarity Conversation—a focused 60-minute session designed to help you understand where you are now and what your best next step might be.
What makes you different?
3
I've worked on both sides of the commissioning table—as both a clinician and a commissioner.
That means I understand not only the incredible work organisations do, but also how commissioners, funders and procurement teams make decisions.
Rather than offering generic business advice, I help you translate your expertise into language that decision-makers understand, whilst staying true to your values and purpose.
How can I contact you?
4
The easiest way to get in touch is by emailing: fiona@flcollaborativeconsulting.com
If you're unsure whether FLCC is the right fit, booking a Kindle Strategic Clarity Conversation is often the best place to begin.
FL Collaborative Consulting offers a range of support designed to meet organisations at different stages of their journey.
Many of our free resources, guides and insights are available at no cost, while our Kindle Strategic Clarity Conversation is £95 for a focused 60-minute session. If you decide to continue working with FL Collaborative Consulting within 30 days, the full £95 is deducted from your future consultancy.
Any additional support is tailored to your organisation's goals, priorities and capacity. Rather than fixed packages, we'll recommend the level of support that we genuinely believe will create the greatest value for you.
Prices typically start at £395 for short term specific projects and are more for longer term work.
Our aim is to help you make informed decisions, not to sell services you don't need. I always recommend the level of support that creates the greatest value, not the highest invoice.
I’m not sure what I need. Is the Kindle Conversation right for me?
5
Probably. Most people who book a Kindle Conversation aren't completely sure what support they need—that's exactly why the session exists.
Together we'll explore your organisation, your goals and what's getting in the way, before identifying practical next steps.
Sometimes that leads to consultancy. Sometimes it doesn't. Either way, you'll leave with greater clarity.

What happens after the Kindle Conversation?
6
Following the session, you'll receive a written summary of the discussion and recommendations tailored to your organisation.
If further support would be valuable, I'll outline some options.
If I don't think consultancy is the right next step, I'll tell you honestly and recommend alternative resources or approaches instead.
There is never any obligation to continue working together.
Do I have to commit to further support?
7
No. The Kindle Strategic Clarity Conversation is a standalone service.
Many organisations leave with enough clarity to continue independently, while others choose to access additional support later.
The decision is entirely yours.
Is the £95 refundable?
8
The £95 fee covers a dedicated 60-minute strategic session and preparation time, so it isn't refundable once the session has taken place.
However, if you choose to work with FL Collaborative Consulting afterwards, the full £95 is deducted from your future consultancy within 30 days.
How much does it cost?
What if I’m not ready for a Kindle Conversation?
9
That's absolutely fine.
You may prefer to begin with the free resources, Commissioning Readiness Assessment or workshops to build your confidence first. You can find these on our ‘Learn’ page.
Whenever you're ready, the Kindle Conversation will still be there.
Who do you work with?
10
I primarily work with:
Occupational Therapists
Psychologists
Physiotherapists
Speech and Language Therapists
Therapeutic providers
Children's services
Alternative provision
Charities and social enterprises
Values-led organisations supporting children and families
If you're unsure whether your organisation is a good fit, please get in touch.
Do you only work with Occupational Therapists?
11
No. Although I'm an Occupational Therapist by background, I work with a wide range of therapeutic providers, charities and specialist children's organisations.
Many of the principles around commissioning, positioning and sustainable growth apply across sectors.
Do you write tenders?
12
Practical Questions
Not usually.
You know your business far better than me and so will do a much better job in completing the paperwork.
Rather than writing tenders on your behalf, I help you build the foundations that make tender writing much easier—including clear positioning, evidence of impact and a stronger understanding of what commissioners are looking for.
Where appropriate, I can review draft submissions and provide strategic feedback.
Where do you work?
13
I am based in Bristol but I work remotely.
Most support is delivered online via Microsoft Teams, allowing me to work with organisations across the UK.
Face-to-face workshops and consultancy can also be arranged where appropriate.
Can you deliver training for our organisation?
14
Yes. I provide tailored workshops and training for providers, charities, Local Authorities and other organisations on topics including commissioning, strategic positioning, partnership working and sustainable growth.
Training can be delivered online or in person. Visit our learn pages to find out more or send me an e-mail with your request.
Do you work with organisations of any size?
15
Yes, although my focus is on small to medium-sized organisations and charities that want to increase their impact without losing sight of their values. I am experienced in working with large organisations and systems.
Whether you're just starting out or preparing for your next stage of growth, support is tailored to where you are now.
What if you don't think I need consultancy?
16
If I don't believe additional consultancy would benefit your organisation, I'll tell you.
Sometimes the best next step is a free resource, workshop or simply giving your current plans time to develop.
My aim isn't to sell consultancy—it's to help you make the right decision for your organisation.
You will receive a link to my Microsoft Booking Page in your order confirmation e-mail. You can book your appointment through here into an available slot in my diary that is convenient for you. Any problems please feel free to e-mail me.
Once I’ve purchased a Kindle Conversation how do I book my meeting with you?
